It’s an exciting development because it enables the kitchen designer (and the
homeowner) to advance kitchen design to another level, mixing and matching
It’s like finding a new color in a paint palette. Imagine the double-ovens and microwaves
in a kitchen in black stainless steel and the refrigerator in traditional stainless steel—or any
other combination. Most likely we will see all black stainless steel kitchen appliances but
the options for design individuality in the kitchen has increased.

If you are not in the market for a new kitchen appliance, the hot news from the design industry may
not have registered. Many designers have been getting very excited over black stainless steel
appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, ranges and faucets.
